LGM is growing with new, exciting projects coming in from leading architects and 3D Printing companies around the country and the world.  LGM is looking for a new blade who is passionate about Digtial Fabrication and wants to create the highest quality work using cutting edge technology.  This is a full time position in Eagle County, CO.

We are looking for a candidate who has some or most of the following skills.  
(If you don’t have all of these, but come to work for us, you will after a year. )

Current skills in one or more CAD programs including Rhino, Sketchup, Revit, Blender, FormZ, AutoCAD, Zbrush.
CNC machining or 3 axis routing experience
Laser cutting experience
Experience in 3D Printing with pro-sumer extrusion and SLA printers.
Hand finishing skills
Painting skills
Basic IT skills
Photography skills
Basic carpentry or woodworking skills


Must be able to complete projects without direct supervision.  
Must be interested in experimentation and developing innovative solutions based on emerging technologies.
Must be able to juggle competing priorities effectively.  
Applicant needs to have good time management skills.
Must have a dedication to helping a diverse team succeed with complex and varied tasks .  


The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare, maintain and run commercial 3D Printers, as well as pre and post process the 3D Printed parts.  Because LGM processes a large volume of 3D Prints daily, the majority of the Digital Fabricator’s time will be spent taking files from the Senior staff, loading them in to the machines, processing the finished parts and shipping completed projects.  The Digital Fabricator is responsible for on time delivery of high quality parts. A steady hand and attention to detail on small parts is essential.

When not taking care of the routine 3D Printing processes, the digital fabricator will learn to evaluate and modify customer parts for 3D Printing using CAD and digital prep tools, learn to select best fabrication methods and advise customers by phone and email and occasionally fabricate wood, acrylic, plastic and other parts in support of senior modelmakers.

Job will require you to lift 30lb pail of 3D Printing powder one moment followed quickly by lifting .1oz 3D Printed part.  

Job will require you to stand for several hours followed quickly by sitting at computer for several hours.

LGM is a nationally known architectural model and visualization shop. We built our business over the last 18 years serving local and regional architects. We have tremendous expertise in mountain architecture and complex topography.

LGM is a leader in research, development and implementation of 3D printing for architecture. LGM was the first commercial architectural model shop to have in house 3D printing. We have developed 3D printing software including the CADspan Plugin for Google Sketchup.

LGM is located in Minturn, CO, about 100 miles west of Denver and right between the Vail and Beaver Creek ski areas.  Our company owned building encopmasses about 3200 square feet with dedicated space for our large-format 4’ x 8’ CNC 3 axis mill, our five Zcorp 3D printers, office space and fabrication space.

We are a small company with a relaxed but still serious work environment.
